THE MAGIC CHAMBER is the first joint work by the Cologne artist Britta Ebermann and the Siegen
artist Andrea Freiberg. During the residency in the artist village of Schöppingen in 2013,
they met and discovered intersections in their artistic explorations.
The empty shop in the upper town of Siegen has been transformed into a mysterious place of memories and stories. Existing materials, objects, spatial boundaries and atmospheres intertwine in a poetic vocabulary of abstract forms and pictorial objects. “We take away and add, combine, shift and stop time.” Light and sound magically enliven the spatial collage. Happening past reinvents itself.
